Ingredients

  • 1 chicken or chicken breast
  • 1 cup ground yellow pepper
  • 1 cup evaporated milk
  • 3 cups of water
  • 6 boiled yellow potatoes
  • 1 Carrot
  • 1 chopped onion
  • 1 tablespoon ground garlic
  • 1 tbsp toothpick
  • 1 tablespoon of oregano
  • 3 tablespoons oil
  • 2 sprigs of celery
  • 4 loaves

To decorate

  • 3 boiled eggs
  • 6 black olives
  • 6 lettuce leaves
  • salt and pepper to taste

Chicken chili pepper preparation

  1. Let's start preparing this delicious recipe, placing the chicken breast, the celery, the carrot and the oregano in a large pot with plenty of water; Boil for about 20 minutes until the hen is boiled.
  2. When the chicken breast is cooked, fray it into small pieces and reserve.
  3. In another pot with enough water, place the potatoes with a tablespoon of salt and boil until completely cooked. Peel the potatoes and reserve.
  4. In a different pot, heat the oil and fry the onion, garlic, yellow pepper, toothpick, salt and pepper to taste there.
  5. Next, add the breads soaked in milk to the pot and let it cook over low heat.
  6. Add the frayed chicken breast to the pot. Stir well and cook for 10 more minutes until the mixture takes on a creamy consistency. If you notice that the cream looks very thick, add a little chicken broth. Otherwise, if the mixture looks too watery, let it boil for a few more minutes. Stir and observe that the cream does not adhere to the pot.
  7. At your service. In each plate place a cooked potato cut in half and cover them with the prepared cream. Accompany it with white rice to make the dish consistent. Garnish with half a boiled egg, a lettuce leaf and the olives. And ready! It is time to enjoy this delicious recipe for Ají de gallina. Enjoy!

But if we soak it with the chicken broth, you will notice that the breads will adopt that unique and tasty flavor of the chicken.
