Ingredients

  • 1/4 kg of joint noodles
  • 1 kilo of strip roast with bone
  • 1 kilo of beef brisket
  • 1 cup of chopped turnip
  • 1 cup of green pallar
  • 1 cup of beans
  • 1 cup carrot, chopped
  • 1 cup of chopped celery
  • 1 cup onion, minced
  • 1 cup peeled peas
  • 1 cup of chickpea
  • 1 cup of chopped cabbage
  • 1 cup of spinach
  • 1 cup of basil
  • 1/4 cup minced bacon
  • 1 corn
  • 1 cup of yuca chopped into large cubes
  • 3 white potatoes cut in two
  • 200 grams of Parmesan cheese
  • 1 cup of fresh cheese, chopped
  • 200 ml of aceite oliva

Preparation of Menestron

  1. In a pot we boil a kilo of bone-in strip roast plus another kilo of beef brisket. Cook until soft. At that time we add the vegetables, 1 cup of chopped turnip, another of green pallar, of tender beans, of chopped carrot, of chopped celery, of chopped onion, of peeled peas, of previously soaked chickpea, of chopped cabbage, a quarter of cup of minced bacon, a large corn cut into six slices (bacon is optional). Let it cook and thicken slightly.
  2. Then we add a cup of yuca in large cubes. 3 white potatoes cut in two, a quarter of a kilo of joint noodles and let it cook.
  3. Finally we add a cup of spinach and another of basil, which we will have blended after having cooked them in olive oil. We continue with a handful of Parmesan cheese and a cup of chopped fresh cheese. We taste the salt.
  4. We add a few teaspoons of olive oil and that's it!
