Ingredients

  • 12 fresh prawns
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • ½ chili pepper
  • 1 spoonful of butter
  • ½ glass of dry white wine
  • 2 parsley branches
  • Sea salt to taste

Preparation of grilled prawns

  1. As a first step, we will start by peeling the two garlic cloves to finely chop them.
  2. We will take the chili pepper, we will wash it and we will chop it finely, if you want it less spicy, you can remove the seeds.
  3. We will also wash the parsley well, drain it and chop only its leaves.
  4. Taking a griddle, or even a frying pan, we will heat it over low heat and apply the tablespoon of butter. The butter should not burn, so we must ensure that the heat is low.
  5. Once the butter is melted, we will put the minced garlic and let it cook for a couple of minutes. Stir so the flavor spreads throughout the butter.
  6. Then, we can add the chili pepper along with the parsley, and we will integrate it well.
  7. We will let these ingredients cook for a minute and then we can add the cleaned prawns. We must make them bathe well with the butter and the rest of the ingredients, we also have to let all of them be in contact with the surface of the griddle or the pan, without overlapping.
  8. Then we can increase to medium heat and we will proceed to add the dry white wine, so that it cooks together with the prawns for one more minute, after which, we will turn the prawns so that they cook on the other side.
  9. After turning them, we will let them cook for another minute, their color must have already gone from gray to a red-orange color.
  10. Once the gray color is no longer visible in any of the prawns, we can serve them on a plate and then apply sea salt to taste.

Tips and cooking tips to prepare grilled prawns

For this preparation, it is recommended to use striped, Japanese or tiger prawns. In the event that you don't like spicy so much, you can use only ¼ of the chili pepper, or simply not use it.

If you do not have dry white wine, you can also use lemon juice, but do not add it to the cooking, but you must pour it over the prawns already served. And if you want to give it a much stronger flavor, you can use cognac or brandy instead of the wine.
