Ingredients

  • ½ kilo of dried fish (soaked)
  • ½ kilo of chickpeas
  • 1 large bell pepper, sliced
  • 1 large onion picasa

Preparation of Mackerel with chickpeas

You leave the traditional pot for approximately 1 hour or 1 hour and a half over medium heat, stirring constantly, at the end when they are ready you add salt to your liking, so that the chickpea skin remains tender and firm.

Then, in a pot you will add water with a little salt and let it boil, once the water is hot you will add ½ kilo of mackerel fish and you will leave it for a time of 2 minutes. Once the time has elapsed, you take it out and we begin to shred or fray the fish.

After, apart from what we have already prepared, we are going to peel and chop the 2 medium, very small tomatoes. Then we chop 1 large onion into small pieces or the size you like, in the same way we chop the pepper into slices, the food that we will use already chopped, we take a pan to which we will add oil (olive or vegetable, depending on your taste) and season with salt and pepper to your liking. Then we are going to place the fish and chickpeas already prepared in the dressing that we have been preparing. Adding a cup of water can be from the water left over from the chickpea, or where we boil the fish a little, and let it cook until the water is consumed and that's it.

We prepare to tie and beforehand, you are going to prepare ½ kilo of yellow potato, the ones that are ready we are going to cut into slices.
