Preparation of smoked cod with cream

The first thing you will do is, dry the humidity of the fish with an absorbent paper, then you will add special salt to smoke, in an abundant quantity and leave it for a period of 24 hours. After the time has elapsed, you proceed to wash the fish, to cut it into small pieces and keep it in sunflower oil. And you have your smoked cod ready.

Now we will start with the preparation of our cod with cream and we will do it with simple steps below:

  1. In a container or container you will place ¾ kilo of smoked cod fillets, and put cold water, until it is completely covered. You let it soak for approximately 2 hours.
  2. After the time has elapsed, you are going to remove the cod from the water, also dry it, and you are going to cut each fillet lengthwise. Waiting for 4 to 5 pieces to come out.

To prepare the sauce, you will follow these simple steps:

  1. In a large pan to which you will put at a medium temperature you will melt 3 tablespoons of margarine, you wait for it to melt to add 2 tablespoons of flour, and you will stir until it is mixed well.
  2. Then you add 2 cups of milk and 1 cup of heavy cream, you are going to stir constantly until you see that it has a thick consistency.

Once all this procedure is done, we add the cod fillets to the cream that has already thickened. You keep the temperature over medium heat, cover the pan and let it cook for about 20 minutes, more or less until you see that they can be easily crumbled with a fork.

Then, once the most important thing is done, you will need 4 hardened eggs and you remove the shell. You will separate the yolk of two eggs and the white will be cut into small pieces, together with the other 2 eggs, then you will add everything to the fish. You serve it on a plate, once planted, you will pass the yolks through a strainer and spread it over the fish in the form of rain.
